Ray Dalio named the reason for his distrust of cryptocurrencies

The vulnerability of cryptocurrencies due to a number of factors, including the transparency of all transactions, can play a cruel trick on it. Eventually, the authorities of a number of states will recognize this asset class as illegal. That was the opinion shared by billionaire Ray Dalio, the creator of the investment company Bridgewater Associates.

In a conversation with David Rubenstein on the air of his author's program, Dalio pointed out the relatively modest volumes of the cryptocurrency market. According to the financier, given this fact, it is unfair to pay so much attention to this type of digital assets. That is why Dalio himself does not dare to invest large sums in cryptocurrency, but directs only "a tiny percentage" of his multibillion-dollar capital there.

As the conversation continued, the billionaire noted the risk that cryptocurrency will soon be outlawed, at least in some countries of the world. Therefore, he advised investors to diversify their savings by investing in different assets and markets. As for cash, Dalio called it garbage.

According to the founder of Bridgewater Associates, fiat currencies tied to nations are under increasing pressure from their constantly evolving digital counterparts.
