Robot dogs will help a British man to find his lost hard drive with 7,500 BTC

UK resident James Howells, who lost his hard drive with 7,500 BTC in 2013 and thus gained fame in the crypto-industry and beyond, has once again made himself known. It turned out that he did not give up trying to find his "gold" HDD, and this time he will be helped by robots.

The engineer from Newport started mining bitcoin back in 2009, and 4 years later his cryptocurrency wallet had already 7,500 BTC. In 2013, his confession about the loss of his hard drive, on which all his digital wealth was stored, went around the world. It turned out that the poor guy had accidentally thrown the HDD at a local landfill, and when he realized that he had deprived himself of his millions of dollars, it was too late.

Since then Howels regularly asked the local authorities to organize the search for the cherished hard drive, but every time he was refused. Even promises of a quarter of his fortune, if he did find it, didn't help. Convinced that the city authorities would not cooperate, the Briton turned to the company Boston Dynamics to buy two robot-seekers type Spot. Howells hopes that the cyber-dogs, costing $75 thousand each, will be able to find among dozens of tons of garbage HDD, which was lost nine years ago.

Taking into account the current exchange rate of BTC, if the Briton manages to find the hard drive, he will become the owner of $160 million.
