Sam Bankman-Fried, the head of the FTX crypto exchange, is ready to invest a huge amount of money into the campaign of his favorite in the next presidential election in the United States. The businessman revealed this during a recent podcast, "What's Your Problem?"

For the victory, in his opinion, of the candidate suitable for the role of the head of the White House, he's ready to allocate about $100 million. But if the competition is too tough, Bankman-Fried is willing to part with $1 billion to achieve his goal. But he said he wouldn't name such an amount an absolute maximum, because the real situation could prompt even greater investments.

According to the Open Secrets service, the record-breaking amount of money invested in the campaign of a particular candidate was a married couple of investors who donated more than $200 million. Experts say the average amount of money donated by major donors ranges from $40 to $60 million.

Such an initiative by Bankman-Fried in the world of big U.S. politics would not be the first on his record. Previously
the head of the cryptocurrency exchange supported the Democratic Party, sending $20 million to its fund. At the same time, the businessman's current fortune reaches $20 billion.
