Apple creator Steve Wozniak criticized most of today's crypto-assets

Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak was critical of current trends in the crypto-industry. In a conversation with journalists, he said that he was unhappy with the practice of luring people into investing in tokens through advertisements featuring celebrities.

Wozniak noted that new altcoins have been appearing in the market almost every day recently. Many of these assets are nothing but fraudulent projects, the world-renowned developer believes. He also pointed out that the creators of such tokens and NFTs are in great need of an influx of new investors. To attract them they have to resort to the advertising services of public figures from various spheres.

At the same time, Wozniak warned investors against being too critical of cryptocurrency projects. There is a good chance of a startup that in the coming years will gain the same influence and worldwide recognition as Apple did in its time, he said.

Earlier Steve Wozniak repeatedly expressed his admiration for bitcoin. In 2021, at a public event, he said that he considers the first cryptocurrency a "mathematical miracle. Nevertheless, according to him, he has no plans to invest in bitcoin.
