Manchester City FC, the retaining champion in the English Premier League table 2021-22, has decided to become part of the cryptocurrency community. Club management has signed a long-term partnership agreement with cryptocurrency exchange OKX, as representatives of the latter reported on Twitter.

It is noted that neither party wished to disclose the amount of the contract. As reported by Forbes, we can only say for sure that the size of the deal is "multimillion-dollar" in dollar terms on a yearly basis. Under the terms of the agreement logos OKX brand will be applied to the playing jerseys of players, as well as owned by the club's sports infrastructure. In addition, images of cryptocurrency exchange will be present at cybersport events.

Earlier, Manchester City announced the final decision on the cooperation with another major representative of the cryptocurrency community 3Key. The management of the club took into account the presence of a number of reputational problems with the proposed partner and canceled the signing of the agreement.

At the same time, the main competitor of "MC" in the league, "Manchester United", is mastering modern trends. Back in January of this year, the club managed to sign a multi-year cooperation agreement with the blockchain project Tezos.
