The top manager justified his position by the wide spread of the first cryptocurrency around the world. In his opinion, bitcoin has every chance to rise significantly in price due to its popularity with influential investors. In addition, the digital asset enjoys the approval of government agencies in many countries. VanEck also reminded that BTC is already recognized as a legal tender in some countries.

VanEck's CEO said that bitcoin's main competitor, gold, has not shown appreciable growth for several years in a row. The reason for the failure of the precious metal, according to the expert, is an increase in demand for BTC. At the same time, he urged to protect their funds and invest in the first cryptocurrency no more than 3% of their savings. It is important to diversify the portfolio, added van Eck, who put some of his fortune into etherium back in 2019.
