The NFT FIFA+ Collect platform based on the Algorand blockchain will be launched at the end of the first month of spring. The International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) announced this, saying that the launch is timed to coincide with the World Cup scheduled for November.
Thanks to the initiative of FIFA, soccer fans around the world will be able to buy at affordable prices, exclusive collectible items of favorite clubs in a digital format. In addition, key FIFA World Cup and FIFA Womens game moments, as well as paintings and other art objects dedicated to the sport, will be offered for sale as non-fungible tokens (NFT).
According to FIFA management spokesman Romy Gai, every soccer fan in the world will now have the opportunity to be part of the upcoming World Cup. Through the purchase of unique collectible items people will be able to maximize integration in such events on a global scale.
It is noted that the launch of the platform will be implemented immediately on all available platforms and websites. In many ways, the project repeats the path previously passed by the site NBA Top Shot, but not in the basketball industry, and in the soccer industry.
