The "founding father" of the Etherium network and one of the key figures in the digital asset universe, Vitalik Buterin, announced the loss of his status as a dollar billionaire. The reason for the loss of fortune was the recent fall of the entire cryptocurrency market.

Buterin shared the sad news for himself on Twitter, when answering a question from one of the users. The latter was interested in the co-founder's attitude towards the fact that his Forbes list neighbors Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos regularly share all sorts of information with their subscribers. Buterin replied that he didn't think this kind of attitude was anything special. He later added that he should no longer be considered a billionaire.

Under this post, many of Buterin's admirers began to express all kinds of support for him. Many pointed to the possibility of the cryptocurrency market to return to its former position. This would mean that the developer of the second cryptocurrency would regain the status of a billionaire.

Previously, Buterin has repeatedly stated that the purpose of his work is not the maximum possible earnings of funds. Last year's case when the developer transferred 50 trillion SHIB tokens to a charitable foundation can serve as practical support for such position.
