Bentley University begins accepting cryptocurrency for tuition fees

The legendary American university Bentley (BU), ranked as one of the oldest private higher U.S. universities, announced its readiness to accept payments in cryptocurrencies. This was reported in the official representative office of the university.

It is noted that the innovation became possible thanks to a recent contract with the cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase. The Bentley office said that in this way the university will expand the opportunity for students and their parents to pay tuition. Three varieties of cryptocurrency will be accepted - bitcoin, ether and stabelcoin USDC.

According to BU President LaBrent Chrite, the university has been at the forefront of training business leaders at all times, and today the faculty has another reason to be proud as they use the same state-of-the-art technology as students. In addition, Bentley has formed a new course where students will be taught how to handle crypto-finance. Chrite emphasized that his university is the first in the U.S. to introduce tuition in digital assets.

Earlier, a similar innovation was reported in Dubai. Citizens School plans to be the first in the region to start accepting bitcoins and ether for student tuition starting in the new academic year.
