Active attempts of world corporations in today's reality to develop a metaverse are futile, because the vast majority of people still have no idea about it. This statement was made by Vitalik Buterin, the billionaire creator of Ethereum.

This way, the developer commented on the opinion of his colleague Dean Eigenmann, who spoke about the viability of the metaverse concept. But he also said that it is unlikely to be realized with the tools that enthusiasts are actively investing in today.

Buterin singled out Meta as the corporation that is more active in promoting the idea of creating its own metaverse. In the opinion of Ethereum's founder, everything that the company will manage to create will turn out to be useless because people don't understand the concept itself. Now this corporation has one goal - to dominate in the hardware industry, said one of Buterin's interlocutors on Twitter.

Anatoly Yakovenko, creator of the blockchain platform Solana, also shared his opinion. He believes that in the near future it will be large companies that will continue to develop in this direction. The reason is the high cost of creating a metaverse.
