Fashion house Prada will give away 100 NFT at the sale of its clothes

Cult fashion house from Italy Prada announced the release of a new collection of clothes, each model of which will have an original serial number that has a link to non-fungible token (NFT). About the initiative Prada reported in the representative office of the house.

It is noted that the total volume of tokens issued will not exceed 100 units. All of them will be implemented in the framework of a sensational project of the fashion house - a line of clothing Timecapsule. Only buyers of Prada branded stores will be able to get NFTs. One non-fungible token will be sent to the customer's wallet at checkout, the company explained.

The tokens themselves will be in the form of GIFs containing an image of the branded shirts in white or black with the original design. Each model will be digitally linked through a unique serial number. The company notes that because the Timecapsule project has existed for several years, buyers of past collections will also be able to count on receiving tokens.

Prada's Timecapsule partners, the Hurst family of artists, have previously had experience with distributing their own NFTs. In the summer of 2021, they launched a collection called "Currency," in which several tokens were put on the market. The aggregate value of NFTs then barely exceeded 5 ETH.
