Polygon says NFT games have advantages over traditional projects

The field of GameFi is becoming a priority for developers of traditional video games. They realize that the future lies in
games using non-fungible tokens (NFTs), which are already showing their advantage. That was the statement made by Urvit Goel, a senior executive at blockchain developer Polygon.

He said the main advantage and advantage of games in the GameFi sphere is the ability not only to buy in-game goods, but also sell them to other users. In traditional games, users spend real money, which they can't get back later. With their NFT counterparts, players always have the opportunity to recoup at least some of the money invested in the product.

According to Goel, game developers around the world intend to gradually move in the direction of GameFi. Right now the most obvious example is Nexon, a major company from South Korea that owns the rights to the game MapleStory. The emergence of such projects allows the industry to develop, because it works the domino effect, said the head of Polygon.

He concluded by saying that if owners of gaming giants weren't confident enough about the future of GameFi, they wouldn't have adapted their flagship titles based on new technologies.
