Solana blockchain team presents its Saga crypto smartphone

Solana Mobile, a company owned by the creators of the blockchain Solana, presented a smartphone of its own design. The presentation of the new product, based on the Android operating system and called Saga, took place in New York.

According to the developers, their smartphone differs from competitors by its functionality, aimed at owners of cryptocurrency. Saga will already be integrated with the Solana blockchain when it arrives on the shelves. In addition, once the smartphone is unpacked, its user will have full access to cryptocurrency wallets and Web3 software.

According to Anatoly Yakovenko, head of Solana Labs, when creating the crypto smartphone, the company was guided by the fact that the vast majority of the world's population uses modern gadgets. On the other hand, about 100 million people around the world today invest in digital assets. There is every reason to believe that these numbers will continue to grow in the future, says Yakovenko.

It is planned that the smartphone will go on sale in the first months of next year. The approximate price will be $1,000. As experts note, in this way the company will try to attract new customers interested in the cryptocurrency industry.
