The management of the Russian social network "VKontakte" announced the imminent integration of NFT technology into its system. It is planned to be used to encourage the content added by ordinary users, as well as for the inviolability of copyright. This was reported to the media by the technical director of the social network Alexander Tobol.

He pointed out that "VKontakte" is not going to establish its own blockchain, but only takes the role of a third party or an intermediary. To confirm the copyrights of uploaded to the system music and video the social network has decided to continue to use a protective mechanism of its own development of Content ID.

Tobol once again pointed out the benefits of using Content ID. In his opinion, the use of this system provides the producers of their own content with the guarantee that their materials are protected not only within the Russian social network but also on similar platforms in other countries.

At the same time he added that for the maximum protection of the copyrighted content the guarantee of uniqueness should be observed in other countries as well. Under this condition, the use of NFT "opens up a new world" for the authors, the technical director of "VKontakte" is sure.
