Cryptocurrencies, which today are still inferior to Bitcoin, will soon be able to finally deprive it of its leadership. This is the view of the future of the cryptocurrency industry shared by Raoul Pal, a leading executive at Real Vision.

During his participation in a recent podcast, the expert named Etherium as the main contender for the role of Bitcoin's successor. Pal did not deny that at the moment BTC is still the leading crypto-asset in the world, with its market capitalization, as well as trading volume and number of users, exceeding the similar indicators of its competitors, including Etherium. Nevertheless, according to the expert, ETH already now has every chance to surpass the first cryptocurrency.

The main indicators of the rise of Etherium Pal called to consider the rate of increase in the number of registered wallets and the volume of transactions. By these objective measures, Bitcoin has been noticeably inferior to its main competitor for several years.

The expert also said that he considers the current price of Etherium to be optimal. According to him, the second cryptocurrency looks more promising to him than Bitcoin. In the future, not only Etherium will surpass BTC, but also other major altcoins, Pal concluded.
