Former Nintendo president urges game studios to explore metaverses

All modern game development and production companies should focus on metaverses. That was the opinion of Reggie Fils-Aimé, the former general manager of the U.S. branch of Japanese game studio Nintendo.

In a recent conversation with reporters, he predicted the vector of further development of major game studios such as Sony and Nintendo. In his opinion, they will be able to become leaders in the meta-universe race due to their extensive experience in the game industry. Both companies, Fils-Aimé continued, have launched many iconic projects that can be successfully transferred to virtual space.

The former Nintendo president also believes that there are many similarities between traditional video games and meta-universes. Similar game mechanics will allow companies to make an effective transition to new digital technologies without affecting the end consumer, Fils-Aimé believes.

He concluded by emphasizing the key advantage of meta universes - the ability to change the environment around you. That is why game studios should be progress-oriented and systematically implement meta universes. This market is promising and offers a wide range of opportunities for both players and developers, Fils-Aimé concluded.
