As noted by representatives of the brand, first such an opportunity will receive buyers of flagship boutiques in the United States and visitors to the online store.

In addition, the manufacturer and distributor of luxury clothing and accessories is not yet ready to extend its initiative to any other digital assets, except BTC and Ethereum. Nevertheless, the brand plans to expand the list of countries and supported cryptocurrencies in the future.

When asked about possible financial threats to the company due to the high volatility of cryptocurrencies, Balenciaga said it understands the risks. According to them, the company assesses the effects of digital assets over the long term, and price fluctuations do not scare them.

Thanks to its initiative, the fashion house Balenciaga will join other manufacturers of luxury clothing and accessories, gradually mastering modern technology. We are talking above all about Gucci and Off-White. They were among the first to introduce the possibility of paying for goods in cryptocurrencies.
