The Wolf of Wall Street compared low-cap cryptocurrencies to cheap stocks

Former broker Jordan Belfort, who became world famous in the movie "The Wolf of Wall Street," once again spoke out about the cryptocurrency industry. He touched on digital currencies showing low capitalization figures.

According to the once stockbroker and now successful motivator, such cryptocurrencies remind him of "penny stocks" - securities of lower tier companies that are sold very cheaply. Both of them, under different circumstances, can both bring investors large profits and literally ruin them.

Belfort believes that it is impossible to guarantee success and protection from failure when working with coins with low capitalization. However, if a depositor directs funds to them at the earliest stage, the risks will be significantly reduced, the expert advised.

He also urged to abandon the idea of investing large sums in "penny stocks" and similar cryptocurrencies. In his opinion, it is worth to do with only a small part of the portfolio and count on the short term. More well-known and strong cryptocurrencies, such as bitcoin, will help to save and multiply funds over a long distance, Belfort concluded.
